Rules:
The Regatta will be governed by the ‘rules’
as defined in the 2013-2016 Racing Rules of Sailing, as modified by Appendix
E and the Sailing Instructions.
Eligibility:
The regatta
is open to all AMYA members in good standing who are sailing a properly
registered, measured and certified EC12. Skippers SHALL
BRING a
copy of their measurement certificate to registration check in as there
will be NO boats measured at the championship. All boats are subject
to inspection at any time during or after the regatta. Entries from
skippers outside the USA may be accepted providing both yacht and skipper
are properly registered with their national authority in the EC12 Class.

Schedule of Events:
Wed.,
Oct. 26, 2016: Check in & Practice Sailing
1200-1600 hours; Welcoming Reception 1800-2100 hours.
Skippers meetings all three days at 0915 hours.
Continental breakfast starts at 0730 hours.
Thursday–Saturday:
Races begin at 0930 hours
No racing Thursday and Friday will start after
1600 hours.
Saturday’s final race finishes approximately at 1500 to 1600
hours.
Awards Banquet Cocktals and Dinner starts at 1830 hours.
Entry:
Eligible competitors
may register their boat by completing the official entry form and submitting
it during the entry period using the online entry form or by mail to
the name and address on the entry form. The entry period will begin on
August 15 and end on October 10, 2016. Online entry form will be posted
in August. No entries accepted before or after those dates THIS
REGATTA IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 40 BOATS ENTERED. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. An
in-order received waiting list will be kept in the event of drop outs.
Sailing

are available for download on the Entry Form &
SI page of this site.
Course Area:
Racing will take place from a floating cement dock. The Race Director will
set a course with windward/leeward legs for the venue and conditions.
We will have launch and retrieval helpers.
Fleet
Management and Scoring:
The Regatta will be conducted using the racing
portion of the Equal Opportunity Racing System (EORS) with a fleet promotion
and relegation process. The National Seeding List will be used to set
2 or 3 seeding fleets depending on the number of boats entered. Each
fleet will sail 1 seeding race which will determine the starting positions
for the EORS. The Low Point Scoring System of Appendix A will apply.
Prizes:
Trophies will
be awarded to the top seven positions in the regatta. AMYA gold chevrons
will be awarded to the top three positions.
