Welcome to the 2015 East Coast 12-Meter National Championship
in St. Augustine, Florida November 12-14.

The Jacksonville Model Yacht Club and the Florida EC-12 Association are once again excited to be hosting the 45th Class Championship regatta in our nation’s oldest city. St. Augustine is the oldest continually occupied city in North America and is celebrating the 450th Anniversary of its founding. It is an exciting time to visit St. Augustine and what better opportunity to celebrate the 45th EC12 Class Championship?

The venue is the lake at the St. Augustine Hotel & Suites at the World Golf Village. Formerly the Comfort Suites Hotel, this is the same venue for the 2012 NCR. The hotel is located just across I-95 from the World Golf Hall of Fame and just minutes from downtown St. Augustine. All the rooms are suites and some have full kitchens. There are two pools, one of them in-doors; a full bar; and a wonderful continental breakfast, including waffles. We will use their largest meeting room for the entire regatta. Besides serving as our Awards Banquet dining room, it will also allow the skippers to store their gear and fully-rigged boats throughout the regatta. Its double doors open directly onto the patio deck overlooking the racecourse. Setting up and taking down your boat each day will be a snap.

There is a wealth of places to explore for dinner—from the Murray Brothers' Caddy Shack, to the amazing selection of diners, eateries, and fine restaurants in St. Augustine. Your guests will have plenty to see and do within minutes of the regatta venue during the day.

There is no entry limit for this regatta. Fleets will be no more than 20 boats. So, while not likely, it is possible to have four fleets. Entries less than 34 will see two fleets.

This venue lends itself to the windward/leeward rectangle with the normal wind conditions. The shape of the lake allows us to move the course around an arc to maintain a fair course while not having to move the staging area. Every attempt will be made to bring the courses closer to the shoreline for visibility.

The links above will take you to all the information you need to enter and make your plans. I look forward to seeing you all here. Come compete for the National Championship and come celebrate the 45th EC12 NCR and the 450th Anniversary of St. Augustine.
